Gainax no Video: Collecting the Entire Catalog

Studio Gainax once was one of the most important and influential anime studios around. That may no longer be the case, but its many children (Gonzo, Khara, Trigger, and Gaina) live on. The following is a guide for anyone attempting to collect Gainax’s entire catalog, and includes information on every one of their series with a US release, and in the case of multiple, which release is the best one to get. Note that this list only covers works from Gainax (and their predecessor, Daicon Film). Maybe someday I’ll do a guide for their child studios, but now is not that time. Titles without links I haven’t gotten to yet. Titles with a † do not have any English-friendly release.
